All aboard the new Emscote Express!

Thanks to Tesco Warwick and the PTA for funding our brand new Emscote Express train


Before half term we celebrated the Royal Wedding, learnt about expedition nursing and had a look inside a real ambulance   





Visit from Dennis Eagle   

In April we had a visit from a brand new Dennis Eagle recycling lorry.  The children learnt all about recycling and everyone got a turn sitting in the cab


Grant Cheque Presentation

Tuesday 20th March - Glass Sellers of London present cheque to Emscote Infant School for £900 for new science resources relating to glass


Happy Father's Day

Today we welcomed fathers to come and enjoy breakfast with their children



Women's Bike Race

We also popped out to cheer on the Women's bike race which was very exciting!



Mother's Day Tea 9th March 2018

It was lovely to welcome some of our mums to enjoy afternoon tea with their children      



World Book Day 1st March 2018

Thanks to all those children and staff who dressed up today!  The array of costumes was fantastic. Our caretaker Mr Clarke and the kitchen staff certainly looked the part!

Today we said goodbye to the Fab Four - they left to go to a local farm

Day 4 Thursday 1st March

Now we are four!  The fab four have been moved to the main box now with food and water


Day 3 Wednesday 28th February

The first two chicks have hatched, and the third has started to make it's way out!

The incubator arrives in school with 10 fertilised eggs


    Every year we hatch chicks at school through the Living Eggs programme.  Our eggs arrived on Monday, and we will post regular updates of how they are getting on!



Skyping Mr Hussey in Bo, Sierra Leone 


On 16th February we skyped Mr Hussey in Bo, Sierra Leone at our link school. He showed us around the school and we saw inside a classroom.  The weather looked alot warmer!

Visit from Leamington Music's Ensemble 360, Music from around the World, February 2018.

The children were all captivated by their performance of music from around the world.



Archery lessons, January 2018

Some children are enjoying learning the ancient skill of archery this term




Visit from the Mobile Planetarium, January 2018

Thanks to the PTA, we had an inflatable planetarium in the school hall for a day.  The children (and staff!) were fascinated to sit in the planetarium and learn more about space, our topic for this half term.



Young Voices Performance, January 2018

Once again the fabulous Emscote Voices Choir travelled to Birmingham to take part in this annual event.  Over 6,000 children performed with professional singers, to an audience of over 20,000!  As ever, our choir both sang and behaved beautifully.


Christmas Performances, December 2017

Our children delighted their families with their fantastic Christmas performances. Reception and Year 1 performed 'A Christmas Miracle' nativity play, and Year 2 entertained with a fanastic carol concert.



Palisander Music Group, November 2017

The school enjoyed a visit from the Palisander Music Group.  They perform using a range of recorder instruments.  We were amazed at the variety and really enjoyed the music.


Grandparent's Afternoon Tea, November 2017

Every year we invite Grandparents of our pupils to come and enjoy an Afternoon Tea with their grandchild.  It proves a very popular and enjoyable event.



Farm to Fork at Tesco, September 2017

Our year 2 children visited Tesco Warwick to see how food comes from our farms into the supermarkets and eventually to our plates at home.  They had a lovely time and even made their own pizzas.



Warwick Rotary Dragon Boat Races, September 2017

Emscote Infant School staff, parents and governors started off the school year on the water, racing in the annual Rotary Club Dragon Boat Races.  They even managed to take part in the Extreme Reading Challenge, and were supported by a fantastic catering team of Teaching Assistants.
